Towell auto centre
We have visited the company of Towell to investigate the types of ICT devices used there, we have specifically visited Towell auto centre L.L.C. sector which was opened in 1972, which deals with trading automobiles, we have spoke with the managers of both the ICT and business sectors, and the interview is shown below:
Us: What type of security procedures do you use?
Them: First off we have two levels of security: LAN and WAN, LAN is used in the office while
WAN is used out of the building. We also use the biometric system to protect the company’s secrets and valuables from outsiders.
Us: Do you have teleworkers, and how are you able to connect with them?
Them: We do have teleworkers, they are able to connect with the companies computers using the VPN that we have, where everyone in the company has his own username and password, to connect them to the private network.
Us: What type of software do you use to save important information or data?
Them: We use access, and the databases are for saving the data given to workers.
Us: How do the workers print hard copies of documents if the printers are in another room?
Them: All the devices you see around you are connected to save time.
Us: What do you do if you approach difficulties?
Them: we use expert systems to eradicate any problems.
Us: How do you advertise for your company?
Them: We use social media as well as E-kyoskes to advertise for the audience that we need and also to give information about what they’ll find with us.
Us: Did ICT alter your company to the better?
Them: Yes it did, for without ICT devices we would not even have cars to trade, as well as no way for our company to evolve into one of the pioneers in selling automobiles.
After this interview they showed us around their company, to show us how they make well use of ICT devices in the different sectors of the company.
